Are you pushing past your barrier?



Recently, some folks have been requesting to review their stretches.  Over time, these patients have learned to polish their self-care practices including stretches and have come to realize they “may have been pushing too hard” and thus not getting the results they had hoped.  

We are all human.  We want results now (aka yesterday) and assume more is always better.  I fell for it too, both as a practitioner and as a patient.  What I soon learned is that no one likes to be “forced” into doing anything and fascia is no exception. If I slow down and wait at your bodies’ barrier, where a small amount of gentle resistance lies, this is where the magic happens!
